Putin suggests Saudis buy C-400, C-300 to protect infrastructure

ANKARA, Sep 17 (PRIME) -- President Vladimir Putin has suggested that Saudi Arabia should buy C-400 or C-300 military complexes from Russia to protect its oil infrastructure from drone attacks, he told reporters late on Monday.

“As to the help to Saudi Arabia… (the state’s) government should make a wise decision, which was earlier made by Iran’s government buying C-300, or which was made by (Turkish President Recep Tayyip) Erdogan who bought the cutting edge C-400 air defense complexes Triumph from Russia. They will secure Saudi Arabia’s oil infrastructure,” he said.

Fire blasted at two key oil installations of Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s national energy operator, following drone attacks on September 14. Yemen's rebel movement Houthi claimed responsibility for the incident.
